Everyday Obedience is Greater than Grand Works – SBS Update

After completing a year-long season, we’re now entering a time of rest and preparation for the next term. This break has been a chance to reflect on the past year, assess our direction, and approach Bible study with renewed heart and fresh perspective.

Alongside this, we’ve also been serving in practical ways, like cleaning Cafe Tov and helping around the UofN campus. Still, long meetings and responsibilities that may seem “less spiritual” can be draining at times. There are moments when we quietly ask ourselves: “What am I doing?” “Am I really walking in my calling?”

But even in these moments, God speaks.
He reminds us that it’s not only grand works of ministry that bring Him glory. Preaching and teaching are important, but they’re not the only ways to honor Him.

When we reflect God’s character in our everyday actions—when we serve with gratitude and joy, even in seemingly small things—those moments become acts of worship.

We pray that wherever we are and whatever we do, we as the SBS family will continue to reflect His glory through steady, joyful obedience.
